April 2, 2014 – This video demonstrates how the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) uses slide-in bridge construction technology. This technology allows MDOT to build a new bridge next to the old bridge while it is being demolished. Once ready, the new bridge is slid into place, greatly reducing the impact this project would have otherwise had on motorists.
